Big Horn Sheep Workshop

March is a great time to find Big Horn Sheep in Rocky Mountain National Park. Big Horn Sheep are often in photographable range, and other big game species like Elk, Mule Deer, and Coyotes can be found in the last month of winter in Estes Park.

Expand your photographic skills and knowledge on a two day workshop focusing on Big horn Sheep, as well as other wildlife. This workshop is limited to 4 participants.

Workshop Packages

All Inclusive Package ($435) - Workshop Instruction, Lodging at The McGregor Mountain Lodge (sheep are often found on the Lodge property), Food, and Transportation during the workshop included. (Tips and Alcoholic Beverages not included).

Stay Where You Like Package ($260) - Workshop Instruction, Food, and Transportation during the workshop included. (Tips and Alcoholic Beverages not included)

Workshop will revolve around wildlife photography, techniques, basic biology, presentations, and image critiques. Topics of instruction include:

  • Long lens technique
  • Wildlife photography equipment
  • Wildlife Composition
  • Wildlife Behavior
  • In the field critique

Friday March 19th
Evening - Meet at McGregor Mountain Lodge Lobby by 6pm then off for Dinner - share experiences and goals

Saturday March 20th
Morning - 1st Field Trip Bull Elk and Sheep
Mid-Morning - Image Review and Critique
Lunch - Sandwiches from Deleo's Deli featured on the Food Network
Afternoon - 2nd Field Trip, Coyotes, Sheep and subjects of opportunity
Dinner - Relax and review the day
Evening - Presentation

Sunday March 21st
Morning - 3rd Field Trip
Lunch - Image Review and Critique
Afternoon - 4th Field trip
4pm - Workshop Wrap Up
