Birding in Rocky Mountain National is extremely rewarding, and I would love to share that experience with you. Rocky Mountain National Park and the Estes Valley offers some of the best birding in the Rockies. The park is famous for Rosy finches, White-tailed ptarmigan, and the Three-toed woodpecker. Life birds can be found in every habitat, from the Red crossbill of the pines, to the American dipper in the tumbling mountain streams. The tundra habitat attracts birds and birders alike to this spectacular frozen landscape. But the park's bird life is not limited to tundra species, over 250 species of birds have been identified in the park. In a full day of birding you easily count 50 species if not more. That is assuming you can keep your eyes in the trees and off the picturesque mountain scenery. We can hunt for specific life birds to add to your list or explore the areas that will offer the best birding opportunities. Either way you will leave with a new found love for the avian life in Rocky Mountain National Park.
