Workshop Details:

Two Workshop Packages are available:

All Inclusive Package ($465) - Workshop Instruction, Lodging, Food, and Transportation during the workshop included. (Alcoholic beverages and Gratuity for meals and workshop not included)

Lodging includes private bedroom and bathroom in a luxury cabin at one of Estes Park's highest rated resorts. Double Occupancy cabin, kitchen, and living room. Private Cabins can hold a family of 6 so bring the family for an additional lodging and meals cost while you experience the workshop.

Stay Where You Like Package ($345) - Workshop Instruction, Food, and Transportation during the workshop included. (Alcoholic beverages and Gratuity for meals and workshop not included)

Requirements:

  • Digital SLR camera and tripod.
  • Winter Clothing, Sweaters, Winter Jackets, layers are your friend
  • Avoid cotton and jeans as they hold water and do not dry quickly.
  • Boots and warm socks
  • Hats and gloves you can operate your camera with.
  • Extra media storage - multiple CF or SD cards, hard drive space, or CD/DVD's
  • Extra camera battery

Schedule

Friday:
Evening: Meet at Ram's Horn Village's Club House at 6pm for greeting, dinner, and presentation.

Saturday:
Morning - Field Trip #1: Sunrise photo shoot
Mid-morning - Presentation on Digital Photography
Lunch - Enjoy a deli sandwich from Deleo's Deli featured on the Food Network during a Presentation on Composition
After Lunch - Field Trip #2: Snowshoe to Dream Lake to photograph ice, snow, twisted Limber Pine trees and evening light along Long's peak and Glacier Gorge
Early Evening - Photo Critique
Dinner at Smokin' Dave's BBQ home of Estes Park's best Barbeque
Evening Presentation - Philosophy of Photography from Artistic, Illustrative, or Documentary photos

Sunday:
Sunrise - Field Trip #3: Sunrise landscapes and wildlife
Breakfast - warm up and fill up for the morning
Morning - Overview Q&A time for students for both cameras and computing
Mid-Morning - Field Trip #4 Look for Big Horn Sheep, Elk, and other wildlife
Lunch - Lunch at the Sweet Basilica
Afternoon - Final Image Critiques and wrap up the workshop

Email one of the workshop leaders or call to register no later than Feb 18th, 2010. Please provide your name, address, phone number, type of camera, photographic experience, and what you would like to get out of the workshop.

Deposit: $200 payable by check or credit card
If the event of not reaching minimum participation your deposit will be refunded, or used to provide you a private workshop experience. Once minimum workshop participation is confirmed your deposit can not be refunded

After you register you will get access to pre-workshop study information, articles, and online videos. In the weeks leading up to the Workshop join our Flickr group to post pictures and get critiques. In January and February get weekly emails to meet your instructors and get to know what Rocky Mountain National Park has to offer.
