Yellow Wood Guiding offers Naturalist guided Photo Safaris and Wildlife Tours through Rocky Mountain National Park in Estes Park, Colorado and presentations throughout the Rocky Mountain Front Range. Each private guided tour is customized for you; we'll hike or drive as far as you want, try to find everything you want to see, and work around your schedule from sunrise to sunset.  Our guide provides all the equipment and expertise you need to have one of the most unforgettable nature experiences of your life.

Yellow Wood Guiding strives to provide quality experiences for all of our guests. Tours are limited to only 4 people so you get personal attention. Tours are designed for adults and children 10 and up, but younger children are welcome. Sharing nature and wildlife is our primary goal.

Rocky Mountain National Park is a spectacular place that will capture your heart. Backpacker Magazine recently voted Rocky the 3rd most photogenic park in the system. Backpacker also rated Rocky 3rd best for wildlife, behind Yellowstone and Denali, but without a doubt Rocky Mountain National Park offers thee best up close wildlife photography opportunities of any western park.

Experience herds of elk, moose, and big horn sheep, as our Naturalist explains how these animals interact with each other as well as this beautiful environment. Then explore the tundra for wildflowers and of course to take in the breathtaking views. Learn how to read the landscape and listen to the story it tells. Learn how to take stunning photographs with professional equipment as our Naturalist / Photographer helps you every step of the way. 

Rocky Mountain National Park ranges between 7522 to 14256 feet above sea level. Always dress in layers, and bring a coat! Even in summer the tundra can be 30 degrees Fahrenheit. Sunscreen, eco-friendly and optics friendly bug spray, water and healthy snacks are provided for all guests.
